Nicasio School is a 152 year-old K-8 public elementary school located in rural west Marin County, CA.  We provide a unique educational experience that combines elements of a traditional rural school with modern teaching methods to develop highly motivated and confident students who go one to excel in high school and beyond.

Like many public schools in California, the funding Nicasio School receives from the State of California and local property taxes barely covers our teaching of the mandated core curriculum of Math, History, Reading/Writing, Social Studies and Science.  Because pf generous financial support from the local community and charitable organizations, Nicasio School is fortunate to also provide enrichment classes in Art, Performing Arts, Foreign Language and Physical Education.  Further, Nicasio School is committed to providing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students, including and students with exceptional needs and English Language Learners.

The Nicasio School Foundation, established in 1996, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer group dedicated to raising funds to support Nicasio School.  The Foundation is currently seeking charitable donations to fund the school's Enrichment Program, our Supplemental Instructional Program for English Language Learners and our Exceptional Needs Instructional Program.
